BLIND
(Isaiah 59:9-10, Hebrews 11:1, Romans 12:2)
(The song, Blind, was written as an outcry of confusion for a world that is searching for significance. We know that true significance can only be found as we discover our identity in Christ.)
Blinded by what the world wants me to see
Not worried about the place it might lead
Finding a road that I think seems right
Stuck in chaos like the darkness of night
Can anyone help me cure this disease
Endurance means so much agony
Angels and demons that wrestle inside
Make me cry out, "Father, come be my guide!"
Mind is clearing now I'm hoping to see
The body and blood given for me
My chains are gone, unblinded by Him
Who removes my guilt and cleans all my sin
Give me eyes that I might see
The truth that's in your majesty
Living in a fantasy
Chasing a useless dream
Seeking things that cloud my mind.
Believing in things not seen
Lord reveal to me
Why am I so blind?
Blinded by what the world wants me to see
Not worried about the place it might lead
Finding a road that I think seems right
Stuck in chaos like the darkness of night
Can anyone help me cure this disease
Endurance means so much agony
Angels and demons that wrestle inside
Make me cry out, "Father, come be my guide!"
Mind is clearing now I'm hoping to see
The body and blood given for me
My chains are gone, unblinded by Him
Who removes my guilt and cleans all my sin
Give me eyes that I might see
The truth that's in your majesty
Living in a fantasy
Chasing a useless dream
Seeking things that cloud my mind.
Believing in things not seen
Lord reveal to me
Why am I so blind?
